Nearby Dover Castle and the Historic City of Canterbury with its stunning cathedral both make for great days out, time permitting. The cottage at The Ship Inn is south facing and located on the seafront, with 2 of the rooms offering outstanding sea views – on a clear day, the views of France are particularly special.

The Ship Inn is in the centre of the village of Sandgate, approximately 1.6 km (one mile) west of Folkestone on the A259. The village has a strong community feel, which you will experience as soon as you walk in. Styled as a nice pub, for nice people, it also has an extensive wine list which would appeal to even the greatest wine buff.

Wards Hotel was Built in the early 1900's as part of the Lord Radnor Estate. Within close proximity of the m20 Motorway, Harbour Ports and Channel Tunnel, Wards is ideally situated for all travellers.

On the Kent coast, the Windsor is within walking distance of the refurbished Bandstand and Amphitheatre. Both feature live events within the new Lower Leas Coastal Park, where there is also an adventure playground and pebble beach.

Children are welcome at the Windsor Hotel, and can enter the bar area if with an adult. Pets can also be accommodated, free of charge. Each en suite room has a 4-channel TV and tea/coffee.
